Up Next in the Arts: Cabaret the Musical

“In here, life is beautiful.”

Do you like theatre and performance art ? Looking for a good gift or fun weekend plans? The #ArtsAtPurdue alongside Purdue Theatre bring to you, Cabaret.

Based on the 1998 Broadway revival. Welcome to the Kit Kat Club, a nightclub in Berlin. The 1920’s, and the Weimar Republic, are drawing to a close, while the Nazi Party is on the rise. The Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience to the show and assures them that, whatever their troubles, they will forget them at the Cabaret. Into this world enters Cliff, a young American writer who then meets Sally Bowles, a performer in the Klub. Their relationship becomes a dream-like romance as events around them turn ominous, a foreshadowing of things to come.
